The Surf House - our little paradise
We spent a long evening with a good friend thinking about the name of our surf house. As there was nothing to be seen in the immediate vicinity at the time of construction, we came up with the idea of naming our little paradise EL FIN DEL MUNDO.
This means "the end of the world" and this fitted the moment like a glove. Our project is now complete and we want to offer our guests a pleasant stay where nothing is missing.
Surfing in Panama
The waves vary depending on the season, but we have the advantage of being able to decide whether we want to surf at any time from our terrace. The conditions are ideal for all surfers.
Panama is an Eldorado for surfers of all levels. Playa Guanico, our home break, is a beach break on the Pacific Ocean in the province of Los Santos. The waves break right on our doorstep all year round - 365 days a year.
Alternatively, there are various spots in the region. In Cambutal, advanced surfers will find ideal conditions at several point breaks. Playa Venao offers a beach break that conjures up perfect waves on good days.
Certified surf lessons
Would you like to learn to surf? Then you've come to the right place. We offer certified surf lessons (ISA Level 1). We would be delighted to accompany you on this new challenge and introduce you to the fascination of surfing.

Surfboard Rental
On site, surfboards in various sizes and materials can be rented. We have soft tops, epoxy boards with soft top layer, and longboards.

Culinary delights
As a young boy, Mark fulfilled his dream of having his own beach bar. As a passionate amateur chef, he created a place where he could treat his guests to culinary delights.
Our evening menus are varied and mostly vegan. Exceptions prove the rule: sometimes there are vegetarian dishes, pizza with ham or fresh fish.
Rancho - "The place to be"
During the day, you can be active in our rancho, meditate, play board games or simply relax. It is a place of peace and relaxation.
In the late afternoon, when the sun goes down, our "place to be" turns into a small beach bar where you can enjoy drinks and dinner while listening to cozy music.
The Beachbar
At the end of the day, you can round off the evening with a cool beer, a cocktail or a glass of wine. Our small beach bar has become a popular meeting place in the past.
Our service
House service
For stays of at least one week, the rooms are cleaned once a week and the bed linen and towels are changed. For a small fee, all guests can wash and dry their dirty laundry with us.
Childcare
For families with small children, there is the possibility of childcare by a local family. If interested, this can be organized on site.
Guanico beach and surroundings
Our surf house is called "el fin del mundo", which means "the end of the world". You've come to the right place if you want to soak up the sun, enjoy unspoiled nature and ride great waves.
Shopping
The "Guanico Store", where you can buy everything you need for your daily needs, is a good 5-minute drive from the Surf House. A larger selection can be found in the Supermercado in Ave Maria, around 15 minutes away.
We receive fresh fruit and vegetables directly on site every Monday. For a larger selection of products, we recommend a visit to Cambutal (30 minutes) or Venao (50 minutes).
Restaurants nearby
In Guanico Abajo, there are several local restaurants right by the sea that offer a typical Panamanian ambience. Roberto Diaz, the owner of Joron Playa Guanico, is a popular meeting place on the beach, known for its fresh seafood and ice-cold beers.
Other options are the Coco restaurant and Joron Las Palmeras. Breakfast and lunch are available at Café The Break. Asian cuisine is available by prior arrangement at Restaurant Bambu.
