On a long evening with a good friend, we thought about naming our surf house.
Since nothing could be seen in the immediate vicinity at the time of construction, we came up with the idea of our little paradise
To baptize EL FIN DEL MUNDO.
It means “at the end of the world,” and it fit the moment like a glove.
Our project is now complete and we would like to provide our guests with a pleasant stay
Which has nothing missing.
For stays of at least one week, rooms are cleaned once a week and bed linen and towels are changed. On request, we are happy to offer more frequent cleaning services, but we do not want to unnecessarily pollute nature for ecological reasons. For a small fee, all guests can wash and dry their dirty laundry with us.

The waves vary depending on the season, but we have the advantage of being able to decide whether we want to surf from our terrace at any time. The conditions are ideal for all surfers.
If the swell is too high, there are always options to avoid it. So if you want to pursue your passion on a swelve-constant beach without a big grow, you've come to the right place.
Panama is an Eldorado for surfers of all levels. Playa Guanico, our home break, is a creek break on the Pacific in the province of Los Santos. The waves break right outside our front door all year round — 365 days a year.
Alternatively, there are various spots in the region. In Cambutal, advanced players will find ideal conditions at several point breaks. Playa Venao offers a beach break that creates perfect waves on good days.
During the months of November to March, it is the peak surfing season on the Caribbean coast. During these months, nature produces world-class waves, which break against a breathtaking natural backdrop.

Surfboards of various sizes and materials can be rented on site. We own soft top boards, epoxy boards with sort top layers and longboards.

During the day, you can be active in sports, meditate, play board games or simply relax in our rancho. It is a place of peace and relaxation. In the late afternoon, when the sun sets, our “place to be” is transformed into a small beach bar where you can enjoy drinks and dinner while listening to cozy music.
At the end of the day, you can round off the evening with a cold beer, a cocktail or a glass of wine. Our small beach bar has become a popular meeting place in the past.
Our surf house is called “El Fin del Mundo”, which means “at the end of the world.” This is the right place if you want to soak up the sun, enjoy untouched nature and ride great waves.
Just 5 minutes by car from the Surf House is the “Guanico Store”, where you can get everything you need for your daily needs. A larger selection can be found in Tonosi, which is about 30 minutes away. In addition, a larger shop is being built in Ave Maria, a village about 10 minutes away.
Every Monday, we receive fresh vegetables and fruit directly on site.
For a larger selection of products, visit Cambutal (30 minutes by car) or Venao (50 minutes by car). Other shopping opportunities can be found in Las Tablas (1.5 hours by car) or Chitre (2 hours by car).
In Guanico Abajo, there are several local restaurants right by the sea, which offer a typical Panamese ambiance. Roberto Diaz, the owner of Joron Playa Guanico, is a popular beach hangout, known for its fresh seafood and ice-cold beers (“Cerveza bien fria”).
Other options include Coco Restaurant and Joron Las Palmeras. Breakfast and lunch are served at Café The Break. Asian cuisine is available by appointment at the Bambu restaurant. On Saturdays, La Flaka treats guests to various pastries and breads, which can be ordered on Fridays. You can also order or pick up pizza to go in Guanico.
